Author booking for book clubs, venues + events
Bring an author to your crowd.
After years of working with publishers, publicists, and authors, Emily and I know who's touring, who's a great fit for your people, and how to make the whole night run smoothly. Tell us about your group and we'll do the rest.

Why book with us
We've done this a few times.
Reading With Robin started on the radio in 2002. Since then we've brought more than 1,000 authors to Rhode Island readers, from debut novelists to bestsellers and Bravo favorites.
- Relationships with publishers and publicists
- An audience of local readers who show up
- A host who makes every author feel at home
The good stuff
Booking questions
What hosts usually ask before we start planning.
Can you bring a specific author to our event?
We'll certainly try! It depends on the author's schedule, tour, and publisher. If they're not available, we'll suggest a few others your group will love just as much.
How much does it cost to book an author?
It depends on the author and the event. Many touring authors visit through their publisher at no speaking fee, while well-known names and celebrity authors often have appearance fees and travel. We'll walk you through every option up front.
How far ahead should we plan?
The sooner the better. Authors plan their tours months ahead, so reaching out early gives you the most options.
Can the author visit virtually?
Yes. Book club visits work beautifully on video, and it opens the door to authors who aren't touring near you.
Do you only book in Rhode Island?
Most of our events are in Rhode Island and New England, but virtual visits can happen anywhere. Just ask.
Let's plan something good
Your crowd. Your space. Their book.
Tell us about your group and your date, and we'll come back with author ideas and a plan.
happy reading! xo, Robin
